Managing performance at Haier (B)

By Vladimir Pucik, Katherine Xin and Donna Everatt

With Haier's expansion to the US, the case presents some local adaptations to Haier's performance management system. The case raises the issue of whether the essential principles of Haier's performance management system can be transferred to the US, and by inference, other countries. Students are asked to consider in general how some of the key concepts may be adapted.
