Your information has been modified successfully. Do you want to save your changes?
Each one of us has trained practically all of our life in making ‘good’ decisions. Indeed, for most of us, our livelihood depends on the quality of our decisions. But are your decisions truly unbiased? Are you really incorporating new information well? And are you using available tools to enhance your decision-making skills?
In this day-long virtual discovery expedition, you will see how common biases are present in all of us when making decisions. You will then acquire a practical and scientific way to organize your decision-making. Finally, you will learn how algorithms and AI can help you make better decisions.
This will be an immersive virtual workshop, broken into 4 sessions of about 75 min each. Each mini session will consist short faculty input, polls, directed discussions Followed by debriefs. The flow for the day will be as follows:
Session 1: 9:00 to 10:15 We are all biased! Fun exercises to demonstrate common biases present in decision-making
Session 2: 10:45 to 12:00 Understanding how the Bayesian Model can help us understand our biases and start to address them
Session 3: 13:00 to 14:15 AI to the rescue? Can AI help you with some of these biases? Exercise for participants to self-discover situations when AI can help and when it cannot
Session 4: 14:45 to 16:00 Putting it all together and wrap up. practical take-aways from the day.
