Dear Reader,

This past month, the Financial Times 2009 Executive Education Rankings placed IMD number one outside the United States and number two worldwide. IMD’s open programs were ranked second (up from third in 2008) and custom-designed programs fourth.

Also during the month of May, the IMD World Competitiveness Center (WCC) announced the results of the 2009 World Competitiveness Yearbook, the world’s most renowned and comprehensive annual report on the competitiveness of nations. Based on the results of the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2009, the WCC unveiled the “Stress Test” rankings, an analysis of which countries are better equipped to fare through the financial crisis and improve their competitiveness in the near future.
