User Experience Specialist

Fixed-term contract - until December 2018

The Job’s mission

The User Experience Specialist works closely with the Marketing, Customer Experience and IT teams as well as the internal and external stakeholders involved in the IMD customer experience. The mission of this role is to design the best IMD customer experience implemented in Salesforce ecosystem through the “IMD Connect” business transformation initiative.

Key activities & accountabilities

Customer experience

  • Design the needs and the related positive/negative touchpoints of the internal and external users profiles into one single IMD customer experience map
  • Manage the agencies selection pitch process for design thinking agency and UX agency
  • In a coordinated approach with the selected agency conduct the user research using methods such as: ethnographic field studies, participatory design sessions, site visits, focus groups, benchmark studies, usability studies and similar approaches
  • Generate and synthetize key insights enabling IMD to be more customer centric and assist in the design of the related business processes to achieve this objective

UX/UI Stream coordination

  • Coordinate the end-to-end UX process activities from the prioritized business requirements to the user interface specifications delivered to IT teams / Capgemini (implementation partner) for development
  • Organize the stream activities in agile marketing approach and incremental MVP
  • Ensure third parties deliver on budget. Manage the contracts and the invoices sign off processes in coordination with the project cost controller
  • Keep IMD Connect project management abreast on an ongoing basis of the progress made and emerging issues, as well as support the preparation of various presentation to project oversight bodies (e.g. management team, supervisory board)
  • Collaborate with other project streams in particular with the Program Management stream as well as with teams engaged in developing IMD apps serving pedagogical purposes
  • In cooperation with the Customer Experience stream lead, facilitate stream committee meetings to align the various stakeholders and ensure the achievement of the defined objectives

UX/UI Architecture

  • Collaborate with the UX agency to develop UX process artefacts such as user research analysis, information architecture, wire framing, rapid prototyping, design speciation’s, digital assets
  • Lead the user lab testing strategy such as user testing, remote testing, experts testing, guerrilla testing
  • Synthesizes customer insights findings and raise the usability issues to improve design and there user value

Ideal profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in cognitive psychology or visual design school (e.g. ECAL, HEAD) with specialisation in UX architecture and design
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in user experience and product design (apps, web, digital ecosystems)
  • Certified in google analytics
  • Salesforce trainings: Pardot, sales cloud, community cloud, preferable
  • SCRUM project management certification preferable
  • Specialisations in online learning and digital marketing
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the education industry or having worked for UX agencies that have developed learning solutions
  • Demonstrated success in developing creative and comprehensive research strategies to reveal unforeseen opportunities and issues that have a significant impact on product strategy and design
  • Proven experience in user experience research, organizing workshops and business requirements gathering
  • Experience in Scrum project coordination
  • Promote client centricity and make sure we take data driven logical conclusions
  • Advanced knowledge of UX processes and the latest tools to design outstanding user experience
  • Strong knowledge of the learning management platforms for online, blended and face2face contexts
  • Able to breakdown raw information and undefined problems into specific, workable components that in-turn clearly identifies the issues to handle
  • Solid experience in creating clickable prototypes
  • Solid Experience working with SCRUM project management approaches
  • Advanced skills in Jira, Confluence, Kanban, UX tools (analytics, tree testing, heat-map, etc.)
  • Design thought leader and conceptual thinker never satisfied with the status quo
  • Team player, always putting IMD premium brand and IMD customers interests first
  • Highly aesthetic sense
  • Acute attention to details
  • Constantly testing ideas to eliminate the non-essential
  • Self-motivated, well organized
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to pitch creative ideas
  • Fluency in English both written and oral, French is a plus
