Senior General Management Program
Read the video transcript below:
Are you a senior Executive? At the top of your game?
00:03: I think senior executives want to come to this program because many of them, like myself, you come to a point in your career where you're very successful, but you're kind of lacking the motivation, you're probably wondering a little bit what's next. So, if you have 15, 20 years to go in your career, and you want to say, "Okay, how do I get the most out of this?" BPSE is for you.
What drives you?
00:23: What drives you? And what drives you today, that is different from when you were 30, 35 years old? And that's a very difficult topic in and of itself. Then you say what are your real leadership challenges? And I think why do I say real leadership challenges? I think we focus too much on negative people, and not enough on saying how do I get high performance out of most of my colleagues, out of myself, and out of the organization?
As a senior executive it's critical to take stock
00:48: First I just want you to take stock, or explore. And I don't want you to go too quickly to deciding what you're going to do next. And I think, as executives, we do that way too fast. So, take the time, take four or five days, say okay, where am I? What's happening in the world? And then you commit to what you want to do, how you want to address it, and how you want to be high performing yourself, and create high performance in others.
Energy is the key for today's senior executives
01:14: Number one, energy. Number two, energy. Number three, energy. Number one, energy because you know what you want to do. So hopefully you have a much better picture what excites you, where your passion is, what your aspiration is. Number two, energy in terms of helping others in the organization. And number three, energy in terms of dealing with all these changes that are happening as a positive, as an opportunity.
Discover a senior general management program that helps you develop breakthrough ideas
01:39: So I think that's really the key that I'm looking for, in how people leave. So, one of the most important things is providing opportunities for people to not just reflect in their head, but to put it out there, either on paper or in conversations. And there, the peers are extremely important, because they're in similar situations. And when you have to tell someone else what it is that you want to do, it forces a level of clarity you would never have if you're just reflecting by yourself.
