Dr. Mary Johnstone-Louis is co-Founder and Programme Director of the Ownership Project and a Senior Research Fellow at Oxford's Said Business School. Mary researches, teaches, and builds programmes on how business leaders create strategy around areas of public good. She has worked on five continents and conducted fieldwork in Bangladesh, South Africa, and across Latin America. Her current focus is on how ownership influences impact and sustainability. She is Co-Director of the Oxford Programme on Responsible Ownership, a course for owners of large multi-generational businesses, Head Tutor for Oxford’s Leading Sustainable Corporations course, and a World Economic Forum Global Future Council Fellow. She is an advisory board member to a range of organisations, and her work on boards and sustainability is featured in the Autumn 2020 Harvard Business Review.
