Corinne Post

Visiting Professor

Corinne Post is Visiting Faculty at IMD and Fred J Springer Endowed Chair in Business Leadership and Professor of Management at Villanova University. She was previously C Scott Hartz ’68 Term Professor and Chair of the Department of Management, College of Business at Lehigh University.

Post earned her BS in organization management and master’s degree in international management from HEC, University of Geneva (Switzerland) and HEC, University of Lausanne, (Switzerland) respectively. She received her PhD in organization management from Rutgers University, Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick (New Jersey, USA). Prior to joining academia, she was an IT analyst and human resource specialist for Accenture.

Her research addresses questions related to diversity and diversity management, notably on women and boards and in top management teams but also around diversity as enabler or impediment to group and organizational performance, mechanisms underlying gender and racial/ethnic differences in career trajectories and outcomes, and gender and leadership.

Post’s work has been published in leading academic journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Organization Science, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, and the Journal of Business Ethics. She is also co-editor of a published book on diversity.

Her research has been presented at academic conferences and professional organizations internationally, and her work on diversity has received a competitive grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Additionally, her research is regularly discussed in business media such as the Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune, Harvard Business Review, Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. She is a Forbes.com contributor and has also written editorials for Newsweek and The Conversation.

Post is an editorial board member for the Journal of Business Ethics, Career Development International, and Corporate Governance: An International Review and serves as Consulting Editor and member of the Strategic Advisory Committee for the Journal of Management Studies. She was also Associate Editor of the Journal of Management Studies (2016-2020).

She was Division Chair, Program Chair, and Professional Development Workshops Program Chair of the careers division of the Academy of Management, and an executive team member of the Academy of Management Gender and Diversity in Organizations division.
