Florian Hoos Brings Sustainability Accounting Expertise
We regularly increase our ranks of faculty and researchers focusing on sustainable business transformation. In 2022, we welcomed Florian Hoos to our faculty as Professor of Sustainability and ESG accounting. Before joining IMD, he served 10 years as a faculty member at HEC Paris, was a visiting assistant professor at MIT Sloan School of Management and was named as one of the world’s 40 best business school professors under 40 by Poets&Quants in 2014. He was previously Managing Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship of the Technical University Berlin where he managed an accelerator and makerspace in the heart of Berlin and advised deep-tech and tech-for-impact startups. His work in academia and practice focuses on helping organizations from startups to multinationals to execute strategies with measurable economic, social, and ecological impact.
