The 7 Things Most Executives Get Wrong About Digital Transformation: A Talk with Michael Wade
On behalf of IMD and the IMD Alumni Club of Silicon Valley, we invite you to join us for a talk with IMD Professor Michael Wade on the often overlooked missteps organizations make when embarking on digital transformation initiatives.
The cold, hard facts about digital transformations paint a grim picture. Despite the best efforts of management and generous resources, most fail. IMD Professor Michael Wade draws on 4 years of in-depth research to identify 7 classic digital transformation mistakes, and how to avoid them. He will also offer key messages for business executives and digital leaders who seek to build a concrete roadmap for transformation across their organizations.
Following Prof. Wade's presentation, James Macaulay, Senior Director Customer Transformation at Cisco and visiting scholar at the Global Center for Digital Business Transformation, will share his perspective on the collaboration between IMD and Cisco and, more in general, on how corporation can and should collaborate with business schools and leadership development institutions to get digital transformation right.
Michael and James are co-authors of Orchestrating Transformation: How to Deliver Winning Performance with a Connected Approach to Change, the second book published by the team at the Global Center for Digital Business Transformation, an IMD and Cisco initiative. The book offers an actionable and concrete guide for large-scale digital transformations.
