Transforming yourself and your business as a force for good IMD Professor Peter Vogel will share the insights from his latest research on how business owners and leaders are re-thinking their role in the world economy and society, with a specific spotlight on philanthropy. While historically affluent individuals and businesses would consider their philanthropic giving as a separate activity from their core business. The world of philanthropy is rapidly transforming, and modern philanthropy is well-positioned to become a key driver of change. In this session we will discuss trends in modern philanthropy, the role and responsibility of individuals and business executives in tackling some of the world’s major challenges and how a cohesive “doing good” strategy can not only be good for society and the environment, but actually also for the bottom line of the business. During this virtual event Prof. Vogel will share his latest research and discuss: Following his presentation, Professor Vogel will engage in a discussion with two representatives from the Ahlström family in Finland who will share their work as a family business and philanthropists and how they seek to maximize their positive impact through a collective effort: To facilitate Global reach, the same event will be held twice the same day, once from 12.00 to 13.30h CET and once from 18.00 to 19.30h CET.
