The event is organized by the IMD Alumni Club of Peru, in collaboration with the IMD Alumni Clubs of the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America.
The session will be moderated by George Kohlrieser, Distinguished Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour at IMD.
The presentation will focus on the role of sleep and its importance for daytime cognitive performance, metabolism, and immune function. Gary Garcia will discuss how the covid crisis has impacted our sleep and present a range of options to improve the quality of sleep.
The event will focus on new technologies and sleep discoveries for non technical people.
Gary Garcia is a Senior Principal Scientist at Sleep Number Labs. Gary has worked in the area of biomedical signal processing and healthcare machine learning for more than two decades. He has specialized in the area of applied sleep science for healthcare and consumer applications.
Gary led numerous projects that resulted in innovative products and received several awards in his career for outstanding scientific contributions and intellectual property generation. He is the author (co-author) of more than 50 publications, >50 patent applications, and 12 granted patents.
