|Speaker(s)||Jean-François Manzoni, IMD President and Nestlé Chair Professor|
It is increasingly well accepted that the best predictor of executives’ future success is their ability to keep learning over time. As a result, managers have been investing increasing time and energy trying to “stay up-to-date”, and organisations have also been investing to support their executives’ lifelong leadership development. The good news is: Leaders are increasingly well informed; they often know what they should be doing. Unfortunately, they typically find it hard to implement this new knowledge and instead keep repeating habitual patterns of behaviour. IMD President Jean-Francois Manzoni has been directing leadership development programmes for the world’s best companies for over 25 years in over 30 countries. During this session, he will share what his and others’ research tells us about why managers - especially senior managers - find it so hard to develop new behaviours, and what they can do to improve their chances of success. He will also share with us a quick update on what’s new at IMD.
