Patricia is a graduate (Bsc) of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.  She has worked as an independent non-executive director since 1996. Prior to 1996, Patricia worked for 17 years in senior executive roles at NAB, Chase and Banque Nationale de Paris in various international locations including Melbourne, Sydney, London, Helsinki, and New York. She also had a two year role as a Legislative Assistant to a California Congressman.

Patricia has over 35 years’ experience as both an executive and non-executive director across a wide range of financial services and other regulated industries in the US, Europe and Australia. She is Chairman of Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, a non-executive director of Aviva plc, Macquarie Group Limited and Macquarie Bank Limited. She is the Country Lead for 30% Club Australia and is an Ambassador for the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation.

Patricia was until recently a non-executive director of Qantas Airways Limited and National Australia Bank Limited (NAB), and she previously had held a number of senior executive positions at NAB.

She has also held non-executive director roles at Wesfarmers Limited, Suncorp-Metway Limited and AMP Limited. She was formerly deputy chairman of Victoria's Transport Accident Commission, Chairman of the Qantas Superannuation Fund and served in honorary Australian Government roles including the Australian Financial Centre Forum and the Financial Sector Advisory Council, as well as on numerous charities including the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute.
