Direct Marketing Specialist - CDD 6 months

 

The Job’s mission

With a creative and and design-oriented mindset, the Direct Marketing (DM) Specialist will design gold-standard and state-of-the-art marketing campaigns, to ensure growth and awareness around all IMD programs and departments.

By nurturing contacts and feeding leads with relevant content, he/she will build campaigns, pushing leads down the sales funnel, from top to bottom. With a critical and strong analytical mentality, the DM Specialist will report on campaign performance, adapt and enhance future campaigns based on data.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, Faculty and department contacts, the DM Specialist will provide expertise and lead projects around promotional efforts.  He/she will display authority and experience in email marketing, by creating seamless journeys through engagement plans.

Key activities & accountabilities

Marketing design and creatives

  • Capacity to build emails from scratch and in bulk, with recognized HTML knowledge.
  • Create, design and integrate impactful animated gifs and visuals
  • Upgrade living forms and email templates, identify potential improvements based on data and pre-defined metrics.
  • Design performance marketing hypothesis to constantly test new digital marketing techniques
  • Optimize campaigns using advanced techniques (e.g. re-targeting, A/B and multivariate testing techniques, DMP, personalized content, Dynamic Content, etc.)

Support in marketing and sales activities

  • Build and integrate state-of-the-art email marketing campaigns, with immaculate html coding and design skills. Design, develop and implement within IMD’s CRM (Salesforce/Pardot). 
  • Support the development of other marketing collaterals (updating webpages, banners, LinkedIn InMails) – as well as reporting & performance monitoring
  • Develop automation tools and facilitate client engagement via IMD’s CRM, by designing and running marketing automation flows to qualify prospects on Salesforce/Pardot
  • Work closely with sales teams to optimize engagement plans ultimately reducing conversion time.
  • Nurture contacts, feed leads with relevant content, pushing them down the sales funnel, from top to bottom
  • Run marketing activities within an agile organizational culture: resource allocation in a matrix organization with agile online tools.

 Compliance

  • Ensure all campaigns comply to current rules and regulations around GDPR practices. Ensure clients, leads and prospects’ privacy is respected, through personalized and engaging content

 Write promotional copy (in English)

  • Extremely strong email English skills, the DM Specialist will have the capacity to edit and prepare copy for email and other direct mailing collaterals.

Reporting

  • Monitor, analyze and report campaign performance and other department statistics.
  • Improve current processes, A/B test and implement measurement tools.

Advising/ Training

  • Recommend, advise and assist internal clients and colleagues when appropriate, to deliver pertinent marketing messages for given areas, while ensuring privacy and regulations
  • Supervise and delegate email initiatives to various stakeholders.

Ideal profile

Education
  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications or equivalent
Experience
  • 5 or more years of solid email marketing. Direct Marketing, digital marketing, database marketing, communications or marketing related experience are assets.
Competencies
  • Excellent HTML coding skills, assertiveness with Dreamweaver or other editing tools
  • Seamless CRM acumen (Salesforce/Pardot experience a plus)
  • Capacity to prepare, create and edit visuals, in particular animated gifs with Photoshop or other editing tools
  • Copywriting in English, with excellent spoken and written skills
  • Innovative - strong aptitude, curiosity, to learn new software and methods
  • Experience in building landing pages, online forms and other marketing assets (dynamic content, automation plans, etc.)
  • Commitment to a high level of accuracy and quality
  • Understanding of GDPR laws and regulations
  • Ability to collaborate on several different projects and meet deadlines; self-starter, work independently and effectively with others; excellent team spirit
  • Confident networker with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
  • Creative, produce effective, accurate, impactful written and graphic marketing
  • Problem solving skills
