IMD International

EVENTS

The Center runs several events per year focused on corporate sustainability for companies. Member companies attend these events free of charge, but other companies interested in the "experience" may also attend subject to a conference fee.

The cases, research and learning from these events are made available to members thereafter on the "members only" platform. Non-members click here to find out more.

The primary objective of these events is to get as many corporations as possible working on difficult sustainability dilemmas for one or two days each time. The Center's events are highly interactive, allowing for maximum dialogue between industry executives on sustainability challenges related either to a case or a research finding. Our members help to orient the Center's research towards issues and challenges relevant to them.

Roundtables are a platform for highly productive dialogue between sustainability executives and senior managers in specific business functions. In a dynamic environment, participants discuss and share innovative solutions and best practices related to integrating sustainability strategies into organizations.

Center for Corporate Sustainability/World Environmental Center Roundtable

The Center in collaboration with our partner WEC and Novartis will be running a roundtable on February 22-23, 2012 entitled: Systemic Solutions for Innovation in Sustainability.

“Sustainability is now the key driver of innovation”. This headline first presented in a Harvard Business Review article in 2009 is being supported by a growing number of business leaders and scientists and will change the way CEO’s are developing their companies’ business models: it means that there is no alternative to sustainable development.

The Open Forum - Every year, the Center asks IMD Faculty to comment on the challenges of strategically integrating corporate sustainability into mainstream corporate activities in business and industry during an action-packed day of panel discussions, debates and presentations. The event is highly interactive and designed to promote maximum collaboration between participants and IMD Faculty.
