LCF activities are focused on four areas:
1. Thought leadership research agenda. Each year, a thought leadership research agenda will be developed in collaboration with an advisory board consisting of leading experts from the academic, business and non-business communities. Annual interviews with 50+ top business and societal leaders around the world will form the basis of LCF's research efforts. Researchers and experts, within IMD and beyond, will be engaged to move topics forward. Thought leadership research outputs will include practitioner-focused papers, articles and books that will promote understanding and dialogue among top leaders globally.
2. Innovative educational materials. LCF will develop innovative educational materials on an ongoing basis. These will be used at IMD, and promoted and made available to other educational institutions. These materials will be designed to challenge today's and tomorrow's leaders on how to holistically prepare themselves and their organizations for the future. The focus will be on moving the emphasis from current best practices to developing and applying insights on new practices for the future.
3. Dialog and debate. Forums, roundtables, webinars and other events will be conducted to engage leaders in active discussion and debate on the challenges they face in preparing for the future.
4. Senior leadership programs. LCF will develop and deliver customized and open senior leadership programs for senior executives who are striving to make a significant difference in their organizations.
