PATHS TO THE EXECUTIVE MBA |
New |
There are various paths that can lead you to IMD's Executive MBA degree. Each path has different requirements, length, teaching methods and number of modules.
The Program for Executive Development (PED) and the Accelerated Executive Development Program (AEDP) are the main routes for the Foundation Stage of the Executive MBA program. AEDP and PED are equivalent in content but differ in terms of program delivery. PED consists of two modules of five weeks each. AEDP is six weeks “out of the office” plus distance learning (equivalent to four to six weeks of full-time study).
If you are a technically-trained manager, you might consider starting with Mastering Technology Enterprise (MTE). MTE consists of two modules of three weeks each. MTE graduates then complete the Foundation Stage of the Executive MBA via PED Module 2.
Young managers (with less than 10 years of business experience) are encouraged to complete the IMD program Building on Talent (two modules of two weeks each) before going on to PED Module 2 or AEDP Modules 2 and 3 at a later stage.
All of the programs listed above are a gateway to the Mastery Stage of the Executive MBA, which has its first module in November of each year.
