The award is given by the government of the Swiss Canton of Vaud to companies which contribute in an exemplary manner to boosting the international reputation of Vaud, home of the city of Lausanne and IMD. The award ceremony gathered 300 guests from local and international companies, governments and organizations.

Valve specialist Cla-Val was recognized in the Foreign Company category. Audemars Piguet won the Swiss Company selection and Elite took the Special Jury’s Choice mention.

IMD President Dominique Turpin was a member of the jury with Philippe Leuba, head of Vaud’s Economy and Sport Department; Bernard Rüeger, President of CVCI; Manuel Leuthold, President of DEV as well as Jean-Philippe Bonardi, Dean of the Lausanne Graduate School of Business; Aude Pugin Toker, CFO of APCO Technologies; Michael Pettigrew, Director General of Ferring Pharmaceuticals and Marc Bürki and Paolo Buzzi, co-founders of Swissquote magazine.

“Since IMD was created by industry to serve industry, we have been very attentive to the impact that the 36’000 companies active in the Canton de Vaud have on both the employment and the economic health of the region. We are also very supportive of this Award that recognizes a number of exceptionally well-managed companies over time and the positive long-term impact they have on our community,” said Dominique Turpin addressing the crowd.

IMD warmly congratulates the winners.
