Bank Mandiri and IMD business school partner for leadership seminar

Mandiri Corporate University, as a part of Bank Mandiri announces a partnership to work closely with IMD business school to conduct a Leadership Seminar under the theme “High Performance Leadership & Communication.” The joint seminar takes place at the Fairmont Hotel Ballroom in Jakarta and welcomes participants and top executives coming from various institutions such as governments, state-owned as well as renowned private companies, academicians/scholars, and mass-media.

The objective of the seminar is to provide insight on the mindsets needed for high-performance leadership, as well as to uncover the qualities that are usually attached to high-performance leaders. Through this seminar, participants will be inspired to start thinking about their own personal leadership and to take steps to develop it. This objective is in accordance with the vision of Bank Mandiri to be the best bank in ASEAN by 2020, and the mission carried out by Mandiri Corporate University, which is to groom the future leaders with global mindset, not only for Bank Mandiri but also for Indonesia. In partnering with IMD business school, Bank Mandiri is collaborating with a global leader known for designing effective and impactful programs to move businesses forward.

Through this seminar, Bank Mandiri will provide the executives attending with extended knowledge and insights about leadership that will be beneficial both for them and the organizations they lead. Sanjay Bharwani, Bank Mandiri’s Chief Human Capital Officer, said that this kind of leadership seminar will be regularly conducted by Mandiri University by inviting highly-competent speakers with updated and relevant topics that are contextualized with Indonesia’s case.

IMD is a top-ranked business school known for developing global leaders through high-impact executive education. The speaker for this seminar is IMD Professor George Kohlrieser, a professor of leadership and organizational behavior. He draws on 40 year of experience as a psychologist and veteran hostage negotiator. He is acclaimed for introducing the hostage metaphor to leadership development, with the best-selling book Hostage at the Table. In the seminar he will share the key elements for high performance leadership and how they can help leaders to be more effective.
