Professor Anand Narasimhan awarded for outstanding research
Anand Narasimhan, Shell Professor of Global Leadership at IMD, was awarded for best paper in the journal "Small Group Research".
The award-winning article by Professor Narasimhan was titled "The Process of Team Boundary Spanning in Multi-Organizational Contexts" and was co-authored with Sarah Harvey of University College London and Randall S. Peterson of London Business School.
The paper underscores the importance of a team's interactions with actors in its external environment beyond those in an immediate supervisory role and provides insight into the dynamics of boundary spanning in multi-organizational contexts.
"We had a particularly strong set of articles to choose from this year and 'The Process of Team Boundary Spanning in Multi-Organizational Contexts' was chosen because of the sophisticated methods used as well as its contributions to the field," said Aaron M. Brower of the award selection committee.
The award was presented at the 2015 INGRoup Conference in July in Pittsburgh, USA.
