IMD to become the lead partner in developing the new generation of Omani leaders
Oman launches National CEO Program in partnership with IMD
Oman's Private Public Partnership Committee recently launched a new National CEO Program in cooperation with IMD and McKinsey & Co. The program aims todevelop a community of world-class Omani CEOs to help maximize the performance of the nation's private sector and economy.
It is a unique six module program designed to deliver a transformational learning experience for senior Omani executives from the oil and gas, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture and other key sectors.
IMD will lead the knowledge section of the program while McKinsey & Company will lead project application sessions.
Advisor to the Royal Court of Diwan H.E Dr. Ali Qassim Jawad said: "Equipping private sector leaders with the latest thinking, skills and capabilities will support sustainable national, regional and international competitiveness and growth".
IMD Professor Mike Wade, who will play a key role in IMD's section of the program, said: "At IMD, we are proud to be a part of the transformational journey to develop a cadre of inspiring global leaders within Oman. The participants in the program will learn about the latest thinking on traditional management topics such as market growth, finance, communications, and strategy. In addition, they will cover cutting edge topics like digital business transformation, board effectiveness, and managing in an environment of disruptive innovation. They will also develop a deep understanding of their leadership skills and embark on a journey to become more inspirational and effective leaders".
