IMD introduces Strategic Marketing in Action program

IMD has launched the Strategic Marketing in Action (SMA) program, replacing the Business Marketing program.

“Unlike Business Marketing, Strategic Marketing in Action is for both B2B and B2C executives,” stated IMD Professor Kamran Kashani, SMA Program Director. “The new program is designed to help marketers and strategists win in tough markets, and goes beyond traditional, often tactical, marketing. Using a unique, structured process, marketing executives will examine their business and marketing challenges with fresh eyes and turn learning into effective action plans.”

SMA will also help marketing executives to:

  • Boost strategic thinking about their market and the forces re-shaping it
  • Gain insights into drivers of customer value, behavior and choice
  • Formulate a differentiated value proposition for customer-focused strategy and brand platform
  • Meet the challenge of implementing strategy, including making a business case and gaining internal support.

The program takes place from April 20 - April 24, 2009 and September 21 - September 25, 2009.
