IMD announces new term for President Dominique Turpin
March 18, 2013
IMD is pleased to announce that Dominique Turpin's term as President has been renewed until December 2016. Turpin was named interim IMD President in July 2010 and was confirmed to lead the organization as President from March 31, 2011.
Under Turpin's leadership, IMD was ranked 1st in Open Programs (Financial Times 2012). He has played a crucial role in establishing IMD in Brazil and Asia and has overseen the creation of a new offering of IMD's largest program, Orchestrating Winning Performance, in Singapore. IMD is also positioned to launch several new programs in 2013 including The China Strategy Challenge, Organizational Leadership in Action, The Leadership Challenge and Leading the Family Office.
Turpin has overseen growth in IMD's research output, with the establishment of new IMD Global Centers focusing on boards, sustainability leadership, value chain and family business.
"I congratulate Dominique on the renewal of his term and wish him lots of success in continuing to steer IMD," said Peter Wuffli, Chairman of IMD Foundation and Supervisory Boards. "Based on his integrative and balanced leadership approach, I am confident that Dominique is the best person to lead IMD to continued success."
"It takes the effort of many to move an organization forward and as IMD President I am honored to be able to partner with top thought leaders to provide the very best in real-world executive development," said Turpin. "I am humbled by this decision and look forward to many successful days ahead."
