March 10, 2010
The IMD Family Business Center has opened the nomination process for the 2010 edition of the IMD-Lombard Odier Global Family Business Award. Individuals from around the world can submit their nominations for particular family businesses which they admire. The company nominated should have the potential to be used as an example for other business-owning families.
The Global Family Business Award is one of the most prestigious accolades to be bestowed on a family business. It emphasizes the important global economic contribution made by family-owned businesses and identifies best practices that may be useful to family businesses around the world. For 15 years this Award has paid tribute to family enterprises and has recognized outstanding family companies for their multigenerational commitment to continuity and the excellence of their family governance. These families are role models for others in one or several aspects such as education, learning, governance, business development, respect for the environment and citizenship.
The Award will be presented during the Family Business Network Annual Summit in Chicago, USA on October 2, 2010.
