A wealth of knowledge collides
Alumni class reunions make for emotional days back at IMD
September 24, 2013
At IMD, learning never stops. Once a graduate of an IMD program, participants automatically become part of a powerful alumni group, including 46 alumni clubs around the world that provide an outlet for networking, keeping in-touch and sharing business experiences. Aside from usual club activities, occasionally groups gather for official class reunions on the IMD campus in Lausanne.
Class reunions are special events that allow fellow classmates to see old friends and rekindle previous connections. And the experience is invigorating, just like during old times, events typically include a session from an IMD faculty member, putting all the reunion participants back in the class room.
Starting from September, IMD is thrilled to welcome several reunions back on campus:
5 September – Program for Executive Development (PED) class of 1973
13 September – Annual Program (AP) class of 1964
20 September – MBA class of 2008
27 September – MBA class of 1993
3 October – All Swiss Alumni Event
One of the larger alumni gatherings, every two years, the All Swiss Alumni Event brings together more than 200 IMD program graduates who are living and working in Switzerland. This year's event will be given "TEDx style" with a series of professors making 15 minute presentations on relevant key business topics.
4 October – MBA (IMEDE) class of 1973
18 October – EMBA class of 2003
25 October – MBA class of 2003
7-9 November – Strategies for Leadership (SL) Retreat (open to all SL alumni of any year)
In addition to these events, every two years, IMD is pleased to welcome all alumni back to campus for the Biennial International Alumni Event. This major event is filled with class presentations from IMD faculty as well as sessions with lively keynote speakers. The next all alumni event will be held in September 2014.
