An International Consulting Project (ICP) is an intensive seven-week consulting assignment (plus 1 week of preparation time) in which MBA teams are working for 7 weeks, full time, 100% focused on finding solutions to clients' strategic issues.
During the ICP, a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary team of MBA "consultants", supported by an IMD Faculty member, deliver fresh, unbiased insights to your business. The average age of IMD MBA participants is 31 with 7 years of professional experience.
Projects may take different shapes, but typically involve in-depth assessments of the industry and market contexts, appraisals of key issues, reviews and evaluations of strategic options, recommendations and considerations for implementation and stakeholder engagement.
A four-step approach addresses the strategic issues specific to each sponsoring company.
- A Consulting Fee of CHF 70,000 plus expenses
- Expenses depend on how much travel a team does but typically vary between CHF 10,000 and 20,000. All project related expenses are subject to prior approval from the client
Terms and Confidentiality
IMD stresses the strict observation of all confidentiality rules in accordance with the highest standards applied by the consulting/legal profession. A letter of agreement is submitted to the company before the project starts outlining the principles guiding the project, its purpose and a confidentiality clause.
The MBA Scholarship Fund
Clients of the IMD MBA International Consulting Projects (ICP) provide world-class educational opportunities to future generations of global leaders through their contributions to the MBA Scholarship Fund. Each year the Fund awards five regional scholarships to high potential, financially limited MBA candidates from around the globe. These exceptional individuals in turn enrich the cultural diversity of the MBA program and contribute valuable perspectives to their class and ICP clients.
