|Your Global Career – Future perspectives for the mobile executive|
|Overview||“Pack your bags and begin your ascent into a global, cross-border career” – it sounds great, so why aren’t more people doing it? In the last twenty-five years, many companies have started to operate on a global basis. For at least that long, we have had the ability to move goods, money and information anywhere in the world. But the last piece of the puzzle – people – is more difficult to put in place.
In this interactive IMD event graciously sponsored by IFC, Professor Maury Peiperl will look at why this is the case, and what individuals and organizations can do to improve their global mobility. He will draw on examples from leading companies and his most recent research on the subject of global executive development and the management of careers under long-term uncertainty.
Prof Peiperl (PhD Harvard Business School), Professor of Leadership and Strategic Change at IMD, has written numerous books and articles on careers and work and is dedicated to promoting the role of business and leaders in sustainable global development. He has directed programs for numerous clients around the world.
