The event will take place on the evening of the 30th of March 2011 at 18.30 with a welcome drink followed by the conference at 19.15h and a cocktail at 20.45

The venue is Hotel Casa Fuster, Passeig de Gràcia 132, 08008 Barcelona.

Summary of the meeting
Adopting the correct business model can determine the difference between failure and becoming the market referent. A business model defines how the organisation creates and delivers value and affects all it does, from the way it interacts with clients and suppliers, to its internal processes or its policies. Over the last decades, companies have adopted increasingly sofisticated outsorcing practices and have developed capabilities that allow them to responde more quickly to emerging market demands.
More and more, however, companies such as Desigual have come to realise, in a counterinituitive way, that there are functions which, when carried out internally, either partially or fully, allow them create more value. These companies also understand their prescriptive role in the development of new products and services following the spirit of Henry Ford: “If I has asked people what they wanted, they would’ve said faster horses”. Manel Adell, CEO of Desigual, and IMD Operations Professor Carlos Cordón, will talk to us about the challenges and rewards of finding the right business model for our company.
