IMD and AISTS cordially invite you to the third edition of our Art & Science of Winning event with Usain Bolt on August 22nd at 19:00, sponsored by UBS and Vaudoise Insurance.
In London earlier this month, we witnessed History in the making, as Usain Bolt won the 100m and 200m races, and then secured Jamaica's 4x100m gold medal. The greatness in this feat is highlighted with it being a repeat of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he also won all 3 events and set world records in each discipline, to become the first man to do so at a single edition of the Olympic Games. This achievement confirmed his title of fastest man on earth, and earned him the nickname of "Lightning Bolt." In 2010, after speaking about his ambitions at the Art & Science of Coaching event with AISTS, Bolt went on to win the Athletissima 200m race in Lausanne in 19.59'' on a rainy track.
A month later in Zürich, he ran the 100m race in 9.81'', and set yet another world record in the 200m race with a time of 19.19'' in Berlin. Unfortunately in 2011 he false-started in the World Championships and was subsequently eliminated. Then earlier this year, the defeat by his training partner Yohan Blake led many to question whether this meant Bolt would have to give up his aspiration to become a Legend in the world of sports. No more.
We hope that you will be able to join us for this unique event, organised by AISTS and IMD, and supported by Athletissima, UBS, Vaudoise Insurance and the City of Lausanne. The purpose of the event is to provide a Q&A session, so please come equipped with questions.
