IMD is pleased to invite you to a Business Forum at Universidad de San Andrés in Buenos Aires, on Friday, September 9, 2011 on the topic of
"Leading in a Complex World – Hercules meets Buddha"
When the business environment is complex, we all want to simplify. However, there are opportunities in complexity, and good businesses will find them and leverage them. This requires a new way of thinking about leading people, one that combines simplifying and controlling, on the one hand, with amplifying and empowering, on the other. We call this way of leading "Hercules meets Buddha". In this session, we will look at examples of such leadership, and identify ways you can balance these forces in your own leadership to take advantage of the current business environment.
