About Sewa Beats

Sewa Beats, led by Doug Manuel, is an international company that delivers high- impact, interactive management-learning for organisations by combining the elemental languageof rhythm and music with twenty-first century learning techniques. Training programmescover team-building, organisational and leadership development using rhythm and musicas the medium to learn. The company has a history of philanthropy, having already raisedfunds for different projects in Africa.
"People's dynamic energy and personal rhythm depend on the beating of their hearts ratherthan on their minds. I am convinced that the sounds and power of the primeval language of thedjembes can have a beneficial effect both on group behaviour and individual attitudes." DougManuel.

The conductor Philippe Fournier founded the Orchestre Symphonique Lyonnais in1985. The orchestra has since become internationally acclaimed not only for its artisticexcellence but also for the open-minded approach of its director who passionately pursuesthe principles of multi-cultural expression and artistic innovation.
"A conductor's art consists of an uncompromising respect for high standards, a baton techniqueand, above all, a philosophical approach. His perception of music is sensory. He speaks to it, feelsit and loves it. His duty is to express and convey this love." Philippe Fournier.
