| Details | We are pleased to invite you to the 6th Bignami Lecture, at IMD. Topic: "Public Private Partnerships: A solution to the infrastructure crises?" by Prof. Laure Athias, IDHEAP When: Thursday, February 2, 2012, from 18:30 to 21:00 Where: IMD Public-private partnerships (PPP) have been used in projects such as highways, airports, sewer plants, hospitals, jails, and even schools. The growth of PPPs over the last two decades has been dramatic, in both developing and industrialized countries. Budgetary problems faced by many countries due to the financial crisis are likely to increase demand for PPPs. With the experience gained over the last 25 years and the probable need for increased use of PPPs, it is time to look back, take stock, and ask whether, or when, public private partnerships are better than purely public provision. Please register on the link above for the Bignami Lecture on Thursday evening, February 2nd, 2012, at IMD. There is no fee to attend. Please note that the lecture will be held in English. |
