Text

For the third consecutive year, IMD’s MBA program was ranked first among all business schools in Europe by the monthly business magazine, Junge Karriere, a subsidiary of the German business newspaper Handelsblatt. The ranking was based on a survey of the 33 best European business schools.

For 2006, the top MBA programs in Europe, as ranked by Junge Karriere, were:

  1. IMD International
  2. Insead, Fontainebleau
  3. RSM, Rotterdam
  4. London Business School
  5. Judge Institute of Management, University of Cambridge
  6. Audencia Nantes School of Management
  7. Universität St.Gallen
  8. Aston Business School, Birmingham
  9. Nimbas Graduate School of Management, Utrecht
  10. Universität Mannheim

The survey rankings were based on the following criteria:

  • Performance, including the international composition of the MBA program, participant qualifications / average GMAT score, participant work experience, and faculty/participant ratio.
  • Price/performance ratio, derived by comparing the MBA program’s cost to its performance score.
  • Image, determined by a peer ranking based on the question: "Which European business schools do you respect?"

Janet Shaner, IMD MBA Marketing Director, comments:

"IMD performed well across all of the ranking criteria. It is a compliment to be respected by our European colleagues and ranked #1 for the third consecutive year."
