| The Job's mission |
To help the Communications team to realize and deliver IMD’s communication strategy:
- Create, assemble and actively manage a reservoir of marketing and communications content to communicate the IMD brand and value proposition to targeted customer segments
- Build, boost and maintain IMD brand awareness, reputation and image with key stakeholders
- Meet the communication needs of external stakeholders
- Provide support in dealing with internal requests

| Key Activities & Accountabilities |
- Select content (based on research, events, IMD agenda, etc) that should be communicated externally
- Identify key journalists per content/topic, focus on global media
- Collaborate with international PR agencies
- Perform media relations activities : organize Faculty interviews, liaise with journalists / editors around the world, etc.
- Manage gatekeeping, Perspectives for Managers & monthly webletter
- Provide other editorial support (eg. brochures, news stories, Tomorrow’s Challenges)

| The Ideal Person |
Education
University degree or equivalent in Communications and/or Journalism
Experience
- Five years work experience for an international organization
- Solid writing / editing background (minimum 5 years)
- Print management experience: Extensive knowledge of online and print media is a must
- Experience in doing a range of public relations & public affairs activities
- Must already have a network of editors/journalists
Competencies
- English mother tongue is a must. Working knowledge in other languages would be an asset
- Excellent writing skills
- High organizational & administrative skills
- Service & customer oriented; diplomatic
- Fast, efficient, but also good with detail; meets deadlines
- Quickly establishes credibility with senior executives & Faculty
- Strong presentation skills
- Creative at delivering key messages to various stakeholders
