| Mission |
The Systems Admin’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IS systems and servers that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by maintaining, supporting, monitoring and optimizing the servers that runs IMD’s business applications. |
| The Position |
- Maintain all Microsoft Windows operating systems servers and the applications they are running.
- Provide 3rd level technical support IMD users and customers.
- Interface with the IS Support and IS Development Departments on various technical projects.
- Maintain the SharePoint Infrastructure (MS SharePoint 2010).
- Collaborate with network and other administrators to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration and processes.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or patches.
- Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.

| The Ideal Person |
- CFC diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 6 years equivalent work experience
- French and English languages essential
- MCSE Windows 2003 or MCTS 2008 is highly desirable
- At least 3 years’ experience in similar role e.g. corporate IT Systems department.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory services (ADS) and LDAP of local area network administration tools
- Technical knowledge in Exchange 2010, VMWARE vSphere environment and SharePoint 20010 and preferably including Windows 2003/2008, SQL 2008
- Linux and scripting language (vbs, powershell) is a plus
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Project Management experience is a plus
- Calm and a professional attitude while dealing with customers and other colleagues
- Able to deal with pressure and meet the deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Highly service oriented with excellent customer-facing skills
- Ability to work in a team, with little supervision and using own initiative
- Have a flexible approach; and accept to work occasional extended hours
- Ability to present technical ideas and solutions in user and business friendly language
